Release Notes

28/11/08: LabelEd 3.1.0 beta 1 is now up and running for all clients with pre-release websites in client QA.

Shopfront (E-commerce)

Shopping cart

  • Added new shopping cart with support for sessions and users.
  • Status messages which relay stock information, availability and product changes to the user.

Checkout

  • User address books with support for selecting seperate billing and shipping details.
  • Voucher and discount code support.

Administration Dashboard

  • Added new sales data graph widget.

Product management

  • New product pricing features, controllable inclusive or exclusive of VAT.
  • New product variation and combination options.

Stock control

  • New stock unit controls at an item or combination level.
  • New combination availability controls.

VAT management

  • Unlimited VAT band configurations can now be added.
  • Items can be assigned a VAT band from the available pool.

Shipping and courier management

  • Unlimited shipping packages, zones and couriers can now be added.
  • New product shipping unit settings.
  • Courier costs can be configured per-package with auto shipment pricing or globally overridden.

Promotions, discounts and voucher management

  • Voucher products can now be created in the administration area depending on site configuration.
  • Voucher codes can be automatically generated upon the sale of a voucher product.
  • Discount codes can be created and applied to a promotion.
  • Usage tracking for vouchers and discounts.
  • Multiple promotions can now be created and activated simultaneously.
  • Comprehensive promotion settings including date controls, availability, discount amounts, applicable products and conditions.

Order management

  • Orders can be viewed from the admin order management area.
  • Search functionality by fields such as order numbers, usernames, dates, status, etc.
  • Flexible payment gateway support.
  • Customisable order status and events.
  • Auto PDF generation for invoices and shipping labels.
  • Automatic e-mail system for order fulfilment and cancellations.
  • Built in deferred payment and refund controls.

Payment processing

  • Added support for Protx payment gateway (direct protocol).
  • Added support for Paypal payment gateway (website payments pro - direct and express protocols).

Cache control

  • Added new admin cache management controls.
